![]() | Figjam Workshops was formed in 2006. Our business grew rapidly, and we became aware that many people wanted to attend our workshops, but were unable to afford to do so as they were suffering financial hardship. We began to get enquiries from Social Service agencies interested in having us deliver our programme to their clients. Again, many of the clients they were intending to refer were experiencing financial difficulties. We are passionately committed to providing workshops which allow all people to experience connection with authentic self and their own innate creativity, regardless of class, gender or ethnicity. So, in May 2008, we formed Figjam Workshops Charitable Trust (Reg. Number CC41358.) With the addition of charitable funding, we are now able to offer our workshops to a wider audience, some at little or no cost, and therefore achieve our overall objective: "To deliver a wide range of workshops designed to educate and empower people so they are inspired and motivated to create positive change in their lives!" We work in partnership with many Community Centres in the Thames/Hauraki, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland regions. We also work with with Teen Parent Units where we have much to offer young parents who are seeking to create a meaningful and sustainable future for themselves and thier children. |
